
Sireesha Avadhanam has established herself as a distinguished Kuchipudi artist and mentor in San Diego. With over four decades of rigorous training, she initially learned under Guru Sarada Devi, who is the direct disciple of Kuchipudi Master, Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam.. Smt.Sireesha travelled the world and performed on prestigious stages . Smt.Sireesha received training in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Late Rama Anjaneyulu garu, student of Sri Uma Subramniam.Smt. Sireesha feels blessed to had the opportunity to learn both the styles of Indian classical danceof Sireesha studied various dance forms and completed her Master’s thesis under the guidance of Dr. Yashoda Thakore. Sireesha has been receiving advanced training in tala under Sri Renuka Prasad.
Sireesha Avadhanam has given hundreds of performances across India and the United States, earning numerous awards and recognitions for her excellence in Kuchipudi.

She has performed lead roles in several Kuchipudi dance dramas choreographed by her gurus and has also directed major productions such as Ganesha Nritya Nataka, Indian women warriors, Gajendra Moksham, Sri Krishna Leela, and Siva Tatvam. Her students have presented these works at prestigious cultural festivals and community events across the country.
Manjeera Academy of Dances was officially founded by Sireesha Avadhanam in 2009, and has since grown into one of the prominent Kuchipudi institutions in the United States. Her students have performed at numerous fundraising events, cultural festivals, and international platforms, including the International Kuchipudi Convention, Silicon Andhra, TANA,TASC, Mingei Museum, Festival of Lights, Asha Foundation, to name few. Many of her students have also won awards in national-level competitions and talent showcases.
Sireesha’s academic journey is as distinguished as her artistic one. She completed her Master’s in Kuchipudi from Aria University, where she pursued advanced coursework in the theory and practice of the art form. She studied Abhinaya in Kuchipudi under Dr. Rama Devi, Kinesthetics of Indian Classical Dance with Dr. Anupama Kylash, and Performing Arts Research Methodology with Dr. Yashoda Thakore, deepening her understanding of movement, expression, and scholarly inquiry in dance.
Beyond the arts, Sireesha also holds an MBA from UC San Diego, graduating with a gold medal, and has built a successful parallel career in the technology sector. She previously served as a Principal Technical Program Manager for Oracle Cloud Networking Infrastructure, bringing together leadership, innovation, and strategic execution at the highest levels.
Today, she continues to balance her artistic, academic, and professional pursuits with dedication—mentoring the next generation of dancers while contributing to the global dialogue on Indian classical arts.
Beyond her artistic contributions, Sireesha actively serves as a member of various Indian associations and Hindu temples and volunteers for nonprofit organizations supporting elders, and mental health awareness. She and her students have conducted lecture demonstrations, enriching academic and cultural discussions on Kuchipudi across the USA. Students of Manjeera Academy play a pivotal role in spreading awareness of this classical art across academic, traditional, and virtual platforms.
