Vocalist : Miss. Mayuri
Mayuri Vasan started her training in Carnatic music under the guidance of Smt. Padma Kutty in Los Angeles. During her summers in Chennai, she learned from many well-known artists and teachers and is currently a disciple of Sri Delhi P. Sunder Rajan. Mayuri has performed during the Chennai music season under many prestigious banners such as Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha among others. During the season, she has given lecture demonstrations on voice care and culture. She has also given concerts around India, including the Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha in Mumbai, and around the US.
Mayuri has her Bachelors and Masters degree in Western classical vocal performance and has been in stage productions in the early stages of her career. She currently performs in the LA area with choirs, as a session singer, and through other entertainment opportunities. Her credits include singing for a show at Epcot Center in Disney World, being a part of the music for the TV show Ms. Marvel, and singing on the latest album by Indian composer, Ricky Kej. She also teaches Carnatic music, Western music, voice training and culture.
Mrudangam : Mr. Raghunandan
Raghunandan Nallanchakravarthula is a renowned Indian Classical musician, acclaimed for his excellence in Mridangam and Nattuvangam, with over 25 years of experience and more than 2000 performances worldwide. Trained under legendary gurus including Yella Venkateswara Rao, Vempati Chinna Satyam, and K. J. Sarasa, he has accompanied eminent classical dancers and musicians across prestigious festivals and international conventions.
Widely respected for his rhythmic brilliance and dedication to preserving Indian classical arts, he is also a passionate teacher, mentor, composer, and supporter of young artists through music education and cultural outreach.
Violinist : Miss. Divya
Kum. Divyashree Sundaram’s violin journey began with training under renowned Gurus Sri. Vittal Ramamurthy and Sri Kumaresh Rajagopalan, and she now continues her musical journey under the guidance of Guru Sri Subash Vinjamuri in Virginia with the mentorship of Vid. Sri Patri Satish Kumar and Sri Flute Raman Kalyan.
Divyashree has accompanied many dance arangetrams in the East Coast and is a regular performer at local cultural events. She is a vocalist with training under Smt. Krupaa Lakshmi and Sri Bhargav Hariharan. She is currently pursuing her Masters at Georgetown University and enjoys composing and producing music in her own recording studio. Divya is immensely grateful to her parents and community for supporting her in this art form.
Divya’s artistry reflects a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, and she remains committed to deepening her craft while inspiring others through her passion for music and dance. She is a sought-after accompanist in the classical dance world.
Flutist : Mrs. Sumanasa
Sumanasa Ranjani S. Kanchana is a Data & AI professional and musican. She is well versed in violin, flute and vocal. She hails from a family of core musicians famously known in Karnatic music circles as ‘Kanchana’ in India and belongs in the 5th generation of musicians in her family hierarchy.
She learnt music from her father and guru “Karnataka Kalasri” Kanchana V Subbarathnam and Mother guru “Sree Maata” Rohini Subbarathnam. She took initial lessons for flute from Vidwan Sri K. U. Raghavendra Rao and mridangam guru K.U Jayachandra Rao and marked her own gayaki style playing in flute. She was also mentored on violin by Guru TKV Ramanujacharlu. In 2005, she graduated with ‘Vidwath’ degree which is a Masters equivalent in Carnatic classical music and has since performed in many prestigious platforms in India, Canada, UK and USA. For her achievements, she was awarded the ‘Prathibha Puraskara’ by Suddi Bidugade – a Kannada newspaper group. She is also a freelance writer and has written and composed songs in English and Kannada. She has been teaching music for the last 15 years and has brought up good youth musicians who are now accompanying on arangetrums and orchestras.
